ModernTribe is also the inventor and manufacturer of No Limit Texas Dreidel, the new dreidel game that crosses dreidel with Texas Hold'em poker. My husband and I invented it for us to play with our friends. We added Pop Judaica and its funny Jewish gifts to the ModernTribe family in late 2009. I love bringing modern design to Jewish lives, inventing new Jewish things, and being active in the American Jewish community. A little bit of our history: ModernTribe grew out of our love for Hanukkah and the invention of No Limit Texas Dreidel.Season after Hanukkah season we would search, hopeful to find cool, new Hanukkah decorations at the local Judaica shop. Yet, after wading through a sea of blue and gold paper goods and dolls singing in Yiddish, we began to wonder if these items were the Hanukkah equivalent to the Christmas fruitcake! We always came home disappointed with the lack of choices for our favorite holiday. We love Hanukkah because burning the candles in the window means more than just taking pride in our Judaism - it is symbolic of our freedom. So shouldn't we also be free from schlocky design!? We finally took our friends' advice and manufactured No Limit Texas Dreidel. Then we searched high and low in America, Israel, and Europe found Jewish stuff and Judaica with a modern design aesthetic that are truly well-designed, clever, and beautiful.
