Q: Where do I enter my discount code or gift certificate?

In the shopping cart, underneath your items, before you click "Checkout" in dark brown it says, "If you have a discount or gift certificate code, enter it here:" Enter your code in this box. Then click "Checkout".

Q: Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes, we offer gift-wrapping! Gift wrapping options will be presented to you during checkout. Gift wrapping is $4.95 for most items.

We also offer, free of charge, gift cards with your own note and include it in the box.  Simply write your note in the "notes" box at the end of the checkout process. The packing slip never includes pricing information but will have your name as the purchaser.

Q: Are your products in stock and ready to ship?

99% of our products are in stock and ready to ship. Occasionally we run out of an item and more are shipping and we pre-sell. We always try to note this on the product page: that the item is on its way and will ship at a later date, when this is the case.  There are a few items that we do not stock, which are special order or are shipped directly from the artist to you. Again, we always try to note this on the product page. Also, occasionally we do make mistakes with our inventory (thinking we have an item left in stock) but are sold out. We absolutely hate when this happens and we are very sorry! In this unfortunate event, we will notify you ASAP and get the product to you as fast as possible.

In stock items usually ship the same day if they are ordered before 5 PM EST M-Th, 1 PM on Fridays. During the busy seasons of Passover and Hanukkah they may ship the following business day. Express shipments always ship the same business day as long as orders are made before 5PM EST M-Th, 1 PM on Fridays.

Read more about shipping on our Shipping & Returns page.

Q: When will I receive a confirmation email and a shipping confirmation?

You will receive an email confirmation of your order immediately following submitting your order on our website. If you do not see the email confirmation, chances are it is in your spam filter. Please add "moderntribe@moderntribe.com" to your contacts list or "white list" moderntribe@moderntribe.com so that you receive the emails.

When your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email, informing you when the order shipped, what items shipped, and tracking information. If you do not receive a shipping confirmation email, please contact us with your order number and we will get it for you.

If you are an international customer or have requested shipping by United States Postal Service, you will still get a shipping confirmation email but tracking information will not be included. If you need help locating a USPS package, contact us and we will help you.

Q: Why is some of your Judaica so expensive?

It absolutely pains Jennie, the Founder of ModernTribe, to offer seder plates and menorahs for over $200. Most of the Judaica, especially the high-priced items are either hand made or produced in small quantities and imported from Israel. It's one of those things about being a minority - much of our "stuff" isn't mass produced. The good side of it is that these items are unique, made by artists or small operations and can be considered "Fair Trade" products. We hope you will love your Judaica so much, you'll enjoy it for a long, long time.

Q: Where is No Limit Texas Dreidel Made?

The 2007 production of No Limit Texas Dreidel used parts from all  over the world. The short story is: dreidels & buttons were made in China, shakers were made in Malaysia, bags were made in New Jersey, printing - tags, instructions - were designed and produced in Atlanta, Georgia, and everything was put together in our basement in Atlanta. The 2008 and newer productions are made in China.

Q: Why is some of your site in Latin?

We should have weeded out all the latin by now.  But as they say, a website is never "finished" and always a work in progress. Our hope is that our Latin text and broken links are few and far between and only minor annoyances and not major annoyances. If you do find Latin or some other web-nonsense or disrepair, please don't hesitate to email us directly at website@moderntribe.com

Q: Where is the No Limit Texas Dreidel FAQ?

Q: Your products are nice but some of the writing is really goofy, who writes your copy?

Jennie writes the product descriptions and pretty much everything else on the website. Jennie is goofy, thus her writing reflects that. She also sometimes makes spelling and grammatical mistakes because not only is she goofy, she is human. Jennie creates ModernTribe and No Limit Texas Dreidel because she loves it and feels passionately about Jewish culture and modern design. She loves bringing modern design to Jews.
