Silicone for Home Goods
Silicone is a rubber-like material that is highly flexible, heat resistant, waterproof, and stain resistant. We've been seeing more and more of it in housewares. You may own some silicone bakeware. Designers have now started to make silicone pretty and it is amazing stuff!
We sell silicone products from ModernTwist: placemats with Stars of David, coasters, and Vinotagz which are wine stem markers. The placemats, especially, are amazing! They wipe clean, can take heat and stains without a blemish.
This seder plate below is by Israeli designer Shahar Batsry. Is this cool or what? The silicon is laser cut and fits around five custom glass bowls etched with the Hebrew names of the seder foods.
