Laura Cowan's Adam and Eve Candlesticks

Inspired by the seven days of creation, this beautiful new range of candlesticks and Kiddush cups by Laura Cowan embraces the contrasts between Heaven and Earth, Darkness and Light, and Day and Night.

G-d said, “It is not good that man be alone; I will make him a companion.”

This elegant pair of candlesticks represents Adam and Eve. Each piece is patiently and expertly turned from solid aviation quality aluminum. The base is then highly polished to a mirror finish and the top anodized. The contrasting finishes reflect the opposites of day and night, heaven and earth, sea and land. The six discs represent the 6 days of the week prior to Shabbat. The colors symbolize the following:

Nature - Green
Sky- Light blue
Ocean - Dark Blue
Sun, Stars - Gold
Man - Pink
Creatures - Red

The candlesticks are reversible – one or both candlesticks can also be displayed upside down.
