The Hebrew word is Shadai, one of the many words written in the Torah for G-d. “El Shadai” is the Nurturing Provider, One who bestows blessings upon creation and your home. Shadai also represents the "Shomer Daltot Israel", which means the protector of our gates.

This classic mezuzah case is imprinted with the traditional Hebrew text the "Shema Yisrael", the most important of all Jewish sayings which appears in the Torah.
