Oregano (Origanum vulgare) Derived from the Greek words for “joy on the mountain”, Greek oregano has been used in cooking for more than 2000 years. One of the most flavorful culinary herbs, oregano has a strong peppery flavor with hints of balsam & clove. It is much loved in many Mediterranean dishes. When using fresh leaves, use 2–3 times as much as dried.
