Uncommon Threads artist, Randi Chervitz, has been making jewelry since she began exploring forms in metal at Parsons School of Design, New York City. It was there that Randi picked up her grandmother's crochet hook while taking a metal-smithing class. Crocheting silver to make wearable objects quickly became her signature. In recent years, she has added hammered metal, soldered, and linear techniques to her repertoire, as she continues to explore how assembling lines creates something significant. |
